Plan limits

Active work, features, imports, exports, agent runs, and retention are explicit.

Limits are enforced fail-closed. When a workspace exceeds a target plan, existing data stays readable while unsafe new usage is blocked until the workspace recovers or upgrades.

Subscription flow

Stripe owns payment records; buildr-plannr owns entitlement enforcement.

Stripe checkout

Beginner, Hobbyist, and Pro subscriptions start through Stripe Checkout from the secured billing screen.

Choose a paid plan, confirm billing in Stripe, and return to the workspace while the webhook confirms access.

Customer portal

Payment methods, billing details, invoices, cancellations, and eligible subscription changes are handled through the Stripe customer portal.

Open the portal from workspace billing after a Stripe customer record exists.

Invoices

Stripe remains the invoice and payment system of record for self-serve paid plans.

Download invoices from the customer portal or request enterprise invoicing through sales-assisted billing.

Upgrades

Upgrades unlock additional active work, agent runs, formats, integrations, retention, storage, and API access after Stripe confirms the subscription.

Upgrade when a workspace hits a real planning, agent, import/export, retention, storage, or API limit.

Downgrades

Downgrades never delete workspace data. Existing records stay readable while writes, agent runs, unsupported formats, or integrations may be blocked.

Review the downgrade recovery preview before choosing a smaller plan.

Cancellation

Cancellation keeps workspace data available according to the active retention policy and any legal or enterprise commitments.

Cancel through the customer portal when available, then export needed data before retention windows expire.

Overage behavior

buildr-plannr blocks unsafe new usage instead of silently deleting data or charging surprise overages.

Archive work, remove seats, disable unsupported integrations, wait for the next agent-run allowance, or upgrade.

Enterprise billing

Enterprise plans use custom limits, procurement, security review, optional invoicing, and named success/support ownership.

Contact sales for custom limits, SSO, retention, procurement, and dedicated support expectations.

Need help?

Billing support handles checkout, invoices, refunds, downgrades, cancellations, and workspace recovery.

Never send card data, raw Stripe payloads, secrets, or private issue content through support. Use impact, workspace role, plan, and the visible billing state instead.
